KnobTV

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-21

KnobTV is built by Serman Engineering. This policy explains, plainly, what data the app touches and what we do with it.

Short version

KnobTV does not collect, transmit, or share your personal information. There is no KnobTV account and no KnobTV backend. Everything you configure stays on your Apple TV.

What we store on your device

  • The M3U playlist URLs you add (and their cached channel lists).
  • The filters you save (e.g. "Sports", "Lakers") and which are active.

These are kept in your Apple TV's local storage. They are never uploaded anywhere by KnobTV.

Network requests KnobTV makes

KnobTV downloads the M3U playlists at the URLs you provide, and streams video from the URLs those playlists reference. Those requests go directly to whichever servers you chose to point the app at — KnobTV has no relationship with those services and does not proxy, log, or modify the traffic.

What we do not do

  • We do not collect analytics.
  • We do not use third-party tracking SDKs.
  • We do not sell, share, or transmit your data.
  • We do not have a server. There is no KnobTV account.
  • We do not host, supply, or recommend any specific playlists or content sources.

Children's privacy

KnobTV does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If anything material changes, we'll update this page and bump the date at the top.
