Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-03
Dayline is built by Serman Engineering. This policy explains, plainly, what data the app touches and what we do with it.
Short version
Dayline does not collect, transmit, or share your personal information. Everything you put into the app stays on your device.
What we store on your device
- The events you create (name, time, weekday schedule).
- Your display preferences (visible time range, bar color, show-past toggle, etc.).
These are kept in your device's local storage and a shared App Group container so the Dayline widget and Live Activity can read them. They are never uploaded.
Calendar access (optional)
If you turn on "Include calendar events" in Settings, Dayline reads today's events from the calendars you've already authorized in iOS, in order to display them on the timeline. Calendar data is read on demand, used to render the bar, and never written, shared, or transmitted off the device.
If you turn the toggle off, Dayline stops reading your calendar.
What we do not do
- We do not collect analytics.
- We do not use third-party tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell, share, or transmit your data.
- We do not have a server. There is no Dayline account.
Children's privacy
Dayline does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If anything material changes, we'll update this page and bump the date at the top.
